Langhorne Creek

A flat, river-plain region near Lake Alexandrina, supplying generous reds and blending fruit to many of Australia's biggest brands.

History

Frank Potts founded Bleasdale in 1850 and pioneered flood irrigation from the Bremer River, a practice still used. The region's soft, generous fruit has long been sought after for blends.

Afternoon breezes from Lake Alexandrina, known locally as the 'Lake Doctor', cool the vineyards.
