XO Wine Co is a small boutique winery near Meadows in the Adelaide Hills, owned and run by trained winemakers Greg Clack and Kate Horstmann. They started it in 2017, while Greg was head winemaker at Chain of Ponds and Kate was working at Project Wine in Langhorne Creek, converting a small shed on their 42-acre property at Kuitpo into a winery.
XO makes small-batch wines, some just a single barrel, from favourite hand-picked vineyards in the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale. The pair take an academic approach with minimal intervention, aiming for wines that show the terroir they come from.
