The Pawn Wine Co.

The Pawn Wine Co. is owned and handcrafted by viticulturist and winemaker Tom Keelan. Its name reflects its mission: not regal ambition, but rescuing unusual grape varieties from being lost as blending fodder in the corporate wine world, and giving alternative styles the chance to shine.

By staying small and hands-on, Tom makes artisanal wines from the Adelaide Hills and Langhorne Creek. Both regions have big swings between hot days and cool nights during ripening, building sugar and flavour while keeping natural acidity.

The vineyards are farmed on sustainable principles, including integrated pest management with natural predators, and are members of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia.
