Paisley Wines

Paisley Wines is a family winery at Angaston in the Barossa, run by Derek and Kirsten. The couple met at a Sunday afternoon party in London in 1995, and Derek, a Sydney University chemical engineering graduate, enrolled in oenology at the University of Adelaide in 1997.

The estate vineyard sits at 440 metres directly above Angaston; the boundary between the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley regions runs across the property, and the site is classified Eden Valley. It is planted to 12 acres of Shiraz more than 20 years old, with Fiano and Mataro added in 2019. Paisley also sources Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro from Barossa growers, and Cabernet Sauvignon and old-vine Riesling from the higher Eden Valley.

The range includes playfully named wines such as the Mixed by DJ Deadly Boombox Shiraz and Turntable GSM. The cellar door is on Hurns Road.
