Pfeiffer Wines is a family-run winery in Rutherglen, one of Australia's oldest wine regions, run by winemakers Chris and Jen Pfeiffer. The family respects the region's heritage while being enthusiastic about its future.
Rutherglen is best known for its world-class fortified wines, and Pfeiffer makes highly regarded Muscat, Topaque and other fortifieds. But it is equally known for table wines: the family has been making Gamay for more than 30 years, long before the grape became fashionable, and its 'bush Beaujolais' style was named in The Weekend Australian Magazine's Top 100. Its range spans many varieties, from Riesling to Durif.
The cellar door is known for its friendly, generous welcome, with great-value tastings, seated tastings, picnics, cheese boards and dog-friendly outdoor areas.
