St Johns Wine is a Western Australian producer that runs its business on the idea of "from vineyard to venue": it grows the fruit, makes and stores the wine, and handles distribution itself. That vertical integration lets it keep a close eye on quality while selling wine at approachable prices.
The company farms two vineyards in Western Australia, planted in 1997 and 1998, and has operated its own winery in Margaret River since 2004. The winery can hold more than 1.5 million litres of wine, which places it among the twenty largest in the state. Different collections in the range are made in different ways, but all are built around clean, fruit-driven styles.
Sustainability is a strong focus. The vineyards are farmed with low chemical inputs and an in-house composting program, and St Johns achieved Sustainable Winegrowing Australia certification in 2022. It has also moved to lighter glass bottles and more environmentally friendly labels.
