St John's Road

St John's Road was born of a chance meeting between founders Martin and Vivienne Rawlinson and a Saint-Émilion vigneron who was looking to buy vineyards in the Barossa. The Rawlinsons were running a bed and breakfast in Bordeaux at the time, and, drawn by the romance of making their own wine in Australia, bought a small vineyard in the Eden Valley in 2001.

After Martin's untimely death in 2005, a succession of Barossa winemakers has kept the Rawlinsons' modern approach to the region's classic varieties. Winemaker Luke Broadbent now looks after the wines, with a focus on freshness and primary fruit.

St John's Road wines are found at fine wine retailers and restaurants in Australia and overseas. The business also offers a discount to current and former Australian Defence Force personnel and their families.
