Ngeringa

Ngeringa is one of Australia's original biodynamic wine pioneers, at Mount Barker Springs in the Adelaide Hills. The land was once part of the renowned Jurlique herb farm and has been certified biodynamic for more than 40 years. Janet and Erinn Klein planted their first vines in 2001 and made their first vintage in 2005.

The high-density vineyards share the property with Scottish Highland cattle, sheep, chickens, a heritage orchard, olive and fruit trees, a seasonal biodynamic market garden and extensive native revegetation, all working together to build healthy soils and biodiversity. The aim is wines of intensity, finesse and balance, made without compromising the family's values.

The intimate cellar door, set among the vineyards and vegetable fields, opens by appointment, with 'Vine to Glass' tours on Fridays and Sundays.
