Murrumbateman Winery

Murrumbateman Winery, established in 1973, is a small boutique winery in the Canberra District making high-quality, award-winning wines from locally sourced, hand-picked grapes. True to the region's cool climate, it is known for outstanding Riesling and Shiraz.

Winemaker Bobbie Makin also has a passion for alternative varieties and crafts a selection that includes Fumé Blanc, Malbec, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo.

The dog-friendly cellar door is usually supervised by Mollie, a husky-kelpie cross and rescue dog, who has her own wine label; the winery's two dog-labelled wines support the ACT RSPCA, and well-behaved dogs are always welcome.
