Mt Bera Vineyards

Mt Bera Vineyards is a certified organic estate at Gumeracha in the Adelaide Hills. Its 157 hectares of hills and valleys have evolved from a commercial orchard established in 1851 into vineyards grown on biodynamic principles. The Horner family's temporary move from Sydney turned into a lifelong commitment after an unplanned visit led them to buy the property, and from the 1990s they shaped its identity.

The family showed great resilience after the 2015 Sampson Flat bushfire, rebuilding the vineyards to full production while embracing organic and biodynamic farming.

Mt Bera makes limited-production, single-vineyard wines of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot and Pinot Gris, along with European varieties such as Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, Mencía, Grüner Veltliner, Malvazija, Tempranillo, Sangiovese and Touriga Nacional. The cellar door is on Torrens Valley Road.
