Monty's Leap is a family-owned winery and cellar door on the banks of the Kalgan River, about 20 kilometres from Albany in Western Australia's Great Southern. Michelle and Phil bought the property in 2017, combining two lifelong dreams in a big leap of faith, and worked with local builders to renovate and extend the existing building using upcycled materials.
The couple and their team focus on a quality experience, bringing the best of what they have seen in Australia and around the world, from wine to service and atmosphere.
The cellar door, above the river, offers tastings of local wines curated by the winemaking and cellar door team, with views over rolling hills, the Kalgan and the vineyard.
