Monteperle Wines

Monteperle is a Barossa winery at Lyndoch in the southern Barossa. The family behind it found their home there in 2017, and the first vintage was 2018, with winemaker Tony Carapetis.

The vineyard was first planted in 2001 and is divided into seven blocks with different soils and microclimates, including Mataro on layered sand and quartz gravel and Shiraz grafted in 2018 from cuttings of Block 6. The Gilsmore family also planted nearly 16 hectares at Max's Vineyard in Lyndoch.

The name evokes 'mountain pearls', and the Reserve Collection is limited to 3,000 bottles per wine.
