Lienert Vineyards is a Barossa Valley family wine business. Every generation of the Lienert family in South Australia has watched the sunrise over Kaiserstuhl, a high point on the Barossa Ranges. The family grows and sells fruit to Barossa winemakers while keeping the very best for its own wines, made by James Lienert, with John Lienert as viticulturist.
Every Lienert wine comes from the family's own vineyards and is made by the family. The approach starts with healthy soils, returning organic material and minimising external inputs.
Each label connects good wine with a story of real people and a real place; some feature pigs, and some are named for elusive figures of Barossa folklore. The family is also taking Barossa fruit to new markets such as the UK.
