King River Estate is a King Valley winery in north-east Victoria growing estate fruit at its Flying Duck vineyard. Its philosophy is that great wine begins with intention, with thoughtful decisions at every stage from the vineyard to the final blend shaping wines of balance, character and care.
The 2024 Flying Duck Shiraz, an elegant, medium-bodied wine of spiced plums, dark berries and silky tannins, won top gold with 96 points, Best Wine of Show, Best Red Table Wine and Best King Valley Wine at the 2025 North East Victorian Wine Challenge, and a 2026 Premier's Choice Award. The range also includes a single-vineyard, estate-grown rosé in the style of Provence, a traditional-method sparkling wine aged at least 15 months on lees from Flying Duck fruit, a Prosecco rated among Australia's top 20, and textural whites.
Visitors can taste the range at the King River Estate cellar door in the King Valley.
