Houghton

Houghton is one of Australia's oldest wineries, founded in 1836 in the Swan Valley near Perth, just a few years after the city was established, by a group of British Army officers. Its colourful history includes pioneering Scottish settlers, bushrangers and generations of winemakers, yet remarkably only 14 winemakers have led it in its entire history.

Houghton is Western Australia's most awarded winery, having won more than 250 trophies and 4,800 medals over the past three decades. It sources grapes from every major premium region in the state, including Margaret River, Frankland River and the Great Southern, and its wines are exported to more than 80 countries. Its flagship Jack Mann Cabernet Sauvignon honours one of its legendary winemakers.

Houghton is part of Distinction Wines, a group of some of Australia's most significant vineyards and wineries.
