Hood Wines was established in 1990 by winemaker Andrew Hood near Cambridge in southern Tasmania's Coal River Valley. It was a major contract winemaking facility, making wine for dozens of Tasmanian vineyards.
Its own labels included Wellington, Frogmore Creek and Roaring 40s. The business and its assets were later acquired by Frogmore Creek.
