Harewood Estate

Harewood Estate is based near Denmark in Western Australia's Great Southern, about 400 kilometres south of Perth and one of the largest and most isolated wine regions in the world. Its estate block and winery sit among steep hills and valleys near the Southern Ocean, where long, cool summer days and lean, gravelly soils ripen grapes slowly for intense flavour.

Harewood draws on several Great Southern sub-regions, each with its own character: Frankland River, known for some of Australia's best Shiraz; Mount Barker, where in 1955 American viticulturist Harold Olmo first recommended growing grapes for European-style table wines; and elevated sites on granite soils for crisp, cool-climate wines. The range spans Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Cabernet.

The winery is also known for innovation: its FLUX wines, released in 2017, used generative design, an algorithm working with vineyard and winemaking data and archive photographs, to create a world-first set of labels.
