Flinders Run is a family winery in the Southern Flinders Ranges, in the mid-north of South Australia. Emanuel and Laura Skorpos helped establish the Southern Flinders wine region there in 1997 and have since seen both disaster and triumph in its red soils and rugged mountains.
Emanuel's family story begins on the Greek island of Samos, where his great-grandfather Michael and grandfather Emanuel worked an olive grove and small vineyard in the mountains.
Flinders Run has pioneered wine in this emerging region, winning international acclaim with its Shiraz. The vineyards are planted with many different clones of each variety, chosen for what each brings to the wine.
