Fishbone Wines

Fishbone Wines is a family winery in Margaret River's Wilyabrup subregion, built on deep agricultural roots. The founder's father Giuseppe emigrated from Italy in the late 1920s and began farming on the banks of the Harvey River; his orchards and farms grew into Harvey Fresh, the family business in which the founder and his brother grew up. A childhood among the orange trees, and the example of a hard-working, entrepreneurial father and a creative, thoughtful mother, inspired the desire to create something of his own.

In 2014 the family found a 165-acre former dairy farm at Wilyabrup with great potential, a picturesque expanse of gently sloping hills falling to the Wilyabrup Brook, and transformed it into a vineyard and winery. The founder's youngest daughter Juliette, the second generation of Fishbone, works alongside him every day, from vine to bottle.

The guiding principles are to celebrate the land, the vine and the varieties through a purist approach to winemaking, producing handcrafted wines of elegance and personality with pristine fruit flavour and a strong sense of place. Visitors can taste at the cellar door and dine at the estate's refined, light-filled Japanese restaurant overlooking the vines.
