Eagles Rest Wines is a boutique, family-owned and operated winery in Pokolbin, in the Hunter Valley, named after the resident wedge-tailed eagles. In 2006 the family found a special parcel of land high in the foothills of the Brokenback Range: the Maluna vineyard, a wild place planted to 50-year-old Chardonnay, Semillon and Syrah.
The vineyard sits at 240 metres, bordering the Pokolbin State Forest and more than 100 kilometres of wilderness. The team farms 'with love', with little machinery, much done by hand, and natural solutions that minimise environmental impact.
All Eagles Rest wines are hand-crafted in small batches exclusively from the Maluna vineyard, capturing each vintage, so no two wines are the same.
