Dog Point Vineyard in Marlborough, New Zealand, owns and runs the largest BioGro-certified organic vineyard in the country, having converted all its vineyards to organic farming more than 12 years ago.
Prunings and winery waste are turned into compost, and in winter 2,500 sheep and 25 steers graze the vineyards to control weeds and add organic matter. Chickens, ducks, a pig and friendly dogs also live on the property.
Tastings are by booking, and the French Barn, built largely from recycled timber, offers self-contained accommodation.
