Dawson James

Dawson James is a partnership between winemakers Peter Dawson and Tim James, driven by quality and innovation and by the ambition to make great Pinot Noir in Tasmania's cool climate.

The wines come from patches of the Meadowbank vineyard in the Derwent Valley, owned by long-time friends the Ellis family: Pinot Noir planted in 1989 and Chardonnay in 2000. Gerald and Sue Ellis made the first plantings there in 1974, and the site holds a special place in Tasmanian wine history.

More than 15 years after the first vintage, the single-site wines continue to evolve.
