Corryton Burge is the wine label of the Burge family, whose Barossa roots stretch back six generations to one of the valley's earliest immigrant families. The family began by making fortified wines, sold door to door under a hawker's licence, and has since grown vineyards and wineries across the region. Grant Burge has devoted his life to making the Barossa one of the world's great wine regions.
The label is named for Corryton Park Homestead in the gentle hills of the Eden Valley, the family's gathering place, guarded by a pair of griffins that now appear on the labels. The family includes Helen, Amelia, who brings wine marketing and finance experience, and Toby Mifflin.
Corryton Burge is not connected with Grant Burge Wines, which was sold to Accolade Wines in 2015.
