Charles Reuben Estate is a family vineyard and distillery at Tea Tree, 30 minutes from Hobart near Richmond. The vineyard was established in 1989 and has made Tasmanian wine since the early 1990s.
The Volkmann family bought the business in 2013. Louise and Jens and their three daughters run it day to day, growing, making, distilling, bottling and labelling everything on site. A distillery added in 2019 makes small-batch brandy and fruit spirits.
The 35-year-old vines produce elegant cool-climate wines, and the cellar door offers tastings of both wine and spirits.
