Billy Button Wines

Billy Button Wines was launched in 2014 by winemaker Jo Marsh, after a highly regarded career in the wine industry, and she was joined in 2015 by her winemaker husband Glenn James. The name comes from the yellow native daisies, known as billy buttons, that blanket the mountain tops of the Alpine Valleys in the warmer months.

The winery sources small parcels of fruit from selected vineyards, mainly in the Alpine Valleys in north-east Victoria. Its wines combine three ideas: an emerging region, a wide range of varieties and an inventive winemaking approach. Alongside classic styles, Billy Button is known for tiny batches of alternative varieties that few others make, giving it one of the most varied line-ups in the region.

The cellar door in the heart of Bright offers tastings of the full range, along with a local produce deli with cheese and smallgoods.
