Bettenay's is a family winery near Cowaramup in Margaret River. In 1989 the Bettenay family searched the region for an ideal property and planted Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, adding Shiraz and more Cabernet in 1997. The property now has 25 acres of vines, with surplus grapes sought by neighbouring wineries.
The wines have won awards including best Chardonnay at the Sydney boutique wine awards for the 2002 vintage and gold medals for the 2008 Shiraz and Chardonnay.
Bettenay's is also known for its Margaret River nougat, made on site. A 2012 extension added a nougat kitchen and tasting area, and the property offers lunch and accommodation.
