Ben Murray Wines is a Barossa Valley label born from the partnership of Daniel Benjamin Eggleton and Craig Murray Thompson, whose middle names give the brand its name. Daniel is the winemaker, the one pair of hands that nurtures each wine from start to finish.
Craig's earliest memories are of living at Lyndoch in the Barossa. After a career in finance he left to immerse himself in the wine regions of Italy, importing boutique Italian wines into Australia, and brings that experience to the partnership, along with a passion for making good wine accessible to everyone.
Their winemaking marries tradition with boundary-pushing: each wine is built on a classic Barossa foundation of Shiraz, Grenache and Riesling, with a modern, creative influence and an openness to varieties suited to the region's future.
