Apricus Hill was born in spring 2013 when James and Careena Kellie of Harewood Estate bought the vineyard a couple of minutes down Scotsdale Road from their home in Denmark, Western Australia. They had bought fruit from it for years and wanted to secure it.
The vineyard, established in 1995, is the highest in Denmark at 210 metres, with views of the Southern Ocean and cooling sea breezes.
Winemaker James Kellie makes refined, distinctive single-vineyard wines that differ from his classic Harewood Estate style.
